I spent more time tweaking the blog software; I got the counter working, and I was able to tweak the date displays and some other things. This stuff probably doesn’t matter to anyone, but I wanted to mention it because I felt accomplished 
For those who read who care about blogging software, WordPress rocks- check it out if you haven’t already- it’s very flexible, and is written in PHP and uses a MySQL backend.
Today was a good day btw; it still doesn’t feel like Christmas yet though.
