Saranac Octoberfest

Saranac Octoberfest has to be my favorite beer in the world; I saw that it was out so I picked some up for the season. Calin and I are also looking forwad to mulled apple cider, Pumpkin Spice Lattes and Cinnamon Sugar donuts… I love the Fall.

In other news, I had to go to the dentist today for my first ever filling- people at work had trouble believing that I had never had a cavity. Next I need to have my wisdom teeth removed; that’s gonna be rough.

Not much else here; we’re going across the state this weekend to visit family and to see Tony Campolo speak in Utica. I also need to let my parents and brother borrow LOST Season 2 so they can catch up in time for season 3; everyone is starting to get all hyped up about the upcoming season at work- a few of us are going to try to get some LOST parties together for the new episodes, let me know if you’re interested!

  1. I stopped at Green Acres on my way home last night to get some apple cider. They started their production today! It’s really good cider, and isn’t pasteurized because they UV treat it instead.

I have no trouble believing the “no cavity” story because I haven’t had any either. I did have two preventative fillings put in corners of my teeth that are naturally poorly shaped.

When I had my wisdom teeth pulled (back in high school), my pedodontist recommended that I take motrin the night before. I didn’t have any problems. He pulled them (all four), then I couldn’t feel my mouth for the next few hours due to the anesthesia, and then I went back a few days later to have the stitches removed. You may want to ask your dentist about taking motrin or something the night before.

  3. Ooooh, I had my wisdom teeth taken out 2 years ago… that was NO fun. Two things: A) No matter what the dentist/surgeon recommends, get all FOUR taken out at the same time, because splitting it up costs more and causes more pain later on. B) Get knocked out, completely. I dont know about you, but I didn’t want to be awake for that procedure and I’m glad I wasn’t from what the surgeon said he had to do to my mouth :-p

I see you’re married these days! Congratulations!!!! Hope things are going well for in other aspects of your life. Keep in touch.
