Turns out all was well with the car; I was expecting to have to spend some money getting my pads and rotors replaced, but all was fine (I’m very pessimistic about cars- anyone who knows my history with car problems/repairs will know why).

Calin and I ended up getting new phones last week; we each got the LG VX8100, it’s a pretty sweet phone. It has a 1.3 Megapixel camera which is cool, and a miniSD slot so I can get the pictures off easilly and free. I’ll post some pix to flickr once my SD card and/or USB cable arrive. Plus it didn’t end up costing all that much because of rebates and a $99 credit from Verizon- all I had to do was sell my soul to them for another 2 years.

So tired. I was up late last night, and then up early today to catch the bus (My inspection was due the end of December and I don’t want to risk getting a ticket before my inspection tomorrow). When I first moved out to Webster I was all excited about using the Park and Ride to save some money and the environment- that lasted about a week. It’s actually a good, quick system- the only problem is that it forces me to leave for work 30 minutes early.

It would be nice if more people took the bus- I think if the city used more advertisements telling the benefits of taking the bus rather than driving they would do a lot better; It would also be nice if they had some system where you just scanned a card and the system figured out the best fare- I still don’t know how to get a transfer. Maybe the city just needs a monorail…

Wow; it’s been a long time since I wrote a post- A lot has been going on lately; Calin and I went to my parents’ house for Christmas Eve, and then went to her parents’ house for Christmas day; we had a good time with our families.

For New Years Eve Calin and I just stayed in and had a mini LOST marathon- A few weeks ago we rented Season One and watched all of that, and we decided to buy the first episodes of season 2 on iTunes and catch up. It’s an awesome show- I can’t wait for the next few episodes.
