I generally don’t like Doonsbury, but this was pretty funny.

Pictures

Monday, October 24th, 2005

Calin and I got back from our Honeymoon on Friday evening; I didn’t get as many pictures as I wanted to, but you can view what I got here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mattlary/tags/honeymoon/

I also got most of the pictures from the table cameras at the wedding up; you can see them here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mattlary/tags/wedding/

Not too many wedding pictures yet; all I have are some that Joe took at the reception. You can view the entire set here.

More to come; we just got most of the table cameras developed and burned to CD; I just need to upload them.

Make a book of flickr photos

Tuesday, October 11th, 2005

I found this article about a service which can be used to make a bound book of flickr photos for as little as $15.00! Once I get all of the disposable cameras developed, I think I’ll upload them and make one of these books- that would be a lot easier than making photo albums.

Neat Firefox Trick

Monday, October 10th, 2005

Just found this; it has a neat firefox trick that lets you search different places from the address bar. Read the article here: http://www.lifehacker.com/software/geek-to-live/special-geek-to-live-129658.php.

(If you don’t have firefox, then try it here: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/.)

Married!

Sunday, October 9th, 2005

Calin and I are all married! We got married on October 8th, 2005 (that was Saturday). Calin wore a medieval-ish dress and was very beautiful, and we had our reception at Beardslee Castle; (Apparently, someone even got a picture of the ghost- we’ll see what happens when the pictures are developed).

Now that that’s finished, my stress level should be way lower, and I can actually breathe again- sorry for not putting any updates on the blog about the planning, I just figured I would wait until the day was over. Hopefully people will send me some pictures so I can put them up on flickr; I didn’t give my camera to anyone, so I don’t have any of my own to post.

Anyway, so Calin and I are now happily married, and we’ll be going to Bermuda for our honeymoon in a week. Now we can just work on getting our apartment in order.

“Take On Me”

Take on Me by A-Ha just popped up on my playlist and I thought of this clip from a family guy episode; check it out:

McDonalds Coffee

Monday, October 3rd, 2005

I had to get into work early this morning (I know most people don’t consider 8:00am early, but that’s early for me), and I needed something more than cereal or a muffin for breakfast, so I stopped into McDonald’s. For those who don’t know, they recently released new “Premium Roast” coffee there- I was intrigued by the commercials, but hadn’t stopped in- I figured they had nowhere to go but up from what they used to have. Wow. Their coffee was pretty good, not spectacular, but pretty good- I’ll still go to Starbucks or a different small place before McDonald’s, but their new coffee is up there; definitely better than Dunkin’ Donuts. I guess that’s what happens when you have the money to spend on research and such. The only problem they’ll have is that a lot of people loved their old coffee, so they probably should carry both- at least for a while- to make everyone happy.
